Bishop Travis C. Shockley

Senior Pastor

Bishop Travis C. Shockley is a leader who stands in the gap between two generations and one who holds on to both the passing generation and the emerging generation. In his own words he says “Turbulent times such as we live in are opportunities for wise leaders to accomplish God’s purposes. The cross currents within our culture that painfully resist everything Christ’s church is endeavoring to accomplish have given rise to many tensions. Tensions have also erupted because of traditional baggage that must be expelled lest we continue in lesser state of spiritual fulfillment. Traditional times in church, culture, and global economics call for leaders who cross rivers and reach cities.”

God released Bishop Shockley from his secular service of employment in 1997 to full time ministry to aid his spiritual father, Dr. J.C. Haynes. He was Dr. Haynes’ personal armor bearer and worked side by side with Dad Haynes. Bishop Travis Shockley attributes his spiritual edification and impartation to Dr. J.C. Haynes, who he sat with almost daily to receive the wisdom of the ages. 

Hearing the call of God to do greater works, Bishop Shockley along with his wife Pastor Lisa Shockley, stepped out in faith to establish Greater Works Church, June 3, 2007. They were introduced by his present Spiritual Father, Apostle Keith Wesley to the covering of the 7000 More International Covenant Fellowship under the spiritual leadership of Apostle Halton Horton of Daystar Tabernacle International. 

Bishop Shockley attributes his sense of moral responsibility, character, integrity and ministry fortitude to key people in his life like the late Dr. J C Haynes, Bishop Jack C Vaughn, Apostle Keith Wesley, Apostle Halton Horton, Apostle Leroy McConico and Apostle Larry B Aikens along with many others that would be to lengthy to mention. 

He is the proud father of Ebony Nash (husband Brandon), Latoya, and Taliesha Shockley and grandchildren, Breonna, Brandon Jr., Chayim and Laylah.

Bishop Travis Shockley is an emotional and inspirational speaker who loves people and has a strong desire to see people develop their full potential in Christ. He relates to the young and the old and is, as he calls himself, a “Man of the people” Bishop Shockley has a message for this era and this time, with a vision who has accepted the torch for a new era, a new culture, a new vision and a new leadership style.

Pastor Lisa M. Shockley

Executive Pastor

Pastor Lisa Shockley is definitely a gift from God to the body of Christ and a constant threat to the enemy’s plans. Her love for God, family, and the people of God is evident as she works alongside her husband to advance the Kingdom of God. She is readily recognized as a mother figure, a mentor, a wife, a friend and most importantly a child of God. 

For several years, Pastor Lisa battled with illnesses that are deemed fatal for a large part of the population. Through it all, she remained faithful to God and continued to do whatever possible to continue working for the Lord. As God healed her He also anointed her with a special anointing for healing and deliverance. She has not taken this anointed charge lightly! 

Pastor Lisa also has an anointing to coordinate. She diligently works alongside every ministry in the church to help ensure its success. Everything she puts her hands to do, God blesses. Pastor Lisa currently serves as the Executive Pastor of Greater Works Church. She has also served in several capacities including the counseling of married couples, the Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC), Choir, Pastor’s and Elder’s Wives, and as a Sunday School teacher. The anointing God has placed on her life is evident. 

On any given day if you ask Pastor Lisa Shockley what she enjoys, part of her response would include “working closely with my husband in the development of souls for glory, enjoying her children, Ebony Nash and husband Brandon, Latoya, and Taliesha Shockley and grandchildren, Breonna, Brandon Jr., Chayim and Laylah. All while establishing integrity in the home and in marital relationships.” 

On June 3, 2007, along with her husband, Bishop Travis Shockley, founded the Greater Works Family Worship Center, where they are always expecting the greater. They are proud to be in covenant with the 7000 More Covenant Fellowship, under the leadership of Apostle Halton “Skip” Horton. Pastor Shockley works locally with Apostle Keith and Pastor Lisa Wesley who are also apart of 7000 More. Pastor Lisa Shockley has a message for this era and this time, and has accepted the torch for a new era, a new culture, a new vision and a new leadership style.

Church Confession

Jesus is Lord of Greater Works Church, and abundantly provides for us.

 

Jesus is building the church. Multitude are being saved, healed and filled with the Holy Spirit.

 

Our church is growing and blessing people all over the world.

 

We keep the word of God first place, and exalt Jesus Christ, so people are drawn to our church from everywhere.

 

We are praising God who gives us favor with people, and the Lord is adding to the church daily.

 

The Word of God is increasing and prevailing, and the number of disciples is multiplying.

 

We are speaking boldly in the Lord who is bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by our hands.

 

We are believers, we lay hands on the sick and they recover.

 

All the members are tithers and givers. We love to give in worship of God, and we declare that every need is met.

 

God is giving more than enough workers, equipment, supplies, money and everything else that we need to carry out His will completely.

 

Great miracles happen in our meetings.

 

Greater Works is a supernatural church, with all the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit, and the power of God is always present. Hallelujah! Amen.
